• Depicts the coast from the vicinity of the Cape Fear River (North Carolina), location of Indigenous towns, lakes, and rivers in the region to the Pánuco River (Mexico); the interior is shown as far north as the latitude of the Tennessee River.
• One of the earliest maps to depict the northern Gulf Coast and Indigenous towns. Although spatially inaccurate, the broad coastline curves provide an outline of the relative location of major rivers and Indigenous towns.
• Mobile River is labeled “R de flores” with the towns of “tiachi,” “tascalussa,” and “taliffi,” along the rivers north of Mobile. The southernmost town is on the crease of the map, and the text is illegible. It is likely "Achusi" seen at that location on subsequent maps; these same towns are shown in relatively the same locations on subsequent maps and were likely mapped based on the Soto and Luna expeditions.
